Building Community
In 2022, Joey and his parents realized there was an element missing from the lives of people with Down syndrome—adventure travel. And the world of adventure travel was missing people with Down syndrome! This nonprofit was born on a trip to Mexico, watching two teenagers play football in the resort pool as if they’d always been fast friends. But in fact, they’d only just met, and they both just happened to have Down syndrome. To bring more of this kind of joy to the world, Joey and his parents launched a 501c3 to promote inclusive adventure travel.
